ADU Launches Free Online Technical Training Programs for the Unemployed and Underemployed
American Digital University (ADU) is pleased to announce that it’s playing a crucial role in helping put Americans back to work by offering no cost online training in information technology and networking, general nursing, nutrition and dietetics, electrician, and office automation.
American Digital University decided to do something about the 10% unemployment to help put Americans back to work by offering theses no cost online training programs. It's completely free from now until the end of 2012.
ADU Board Chairman Dr. Anush Ramachandran said, “Our goal is to help put America back to work by providing people with new skills, new opportunities and better jobs. We are offering free and open access to our courses for workers to sharpen their skills and become more marketable in this highly competitive job market. Normally it would cost thousands of dollars to take these types of classes but we are making them available at zero cost to show our commitment to the American workforce in light of the nearly 10% unemployment rate here in the United States.”
In designing this initiative ADU asked the US Department of Education, the American Association of Community Colleges, the Aspen Institute and several others, “What can we do to provide training to Americans who are unemployed or seeking a new skill?” and the answer was consistently, “Offer your courses in the sectors that are most urgently in demand in the U.S” thus we are offering these courses for the next year to anyone, anywhere seeking to become certified in a new skill.
ADU's School of Business and Technology is offering the following set of free Career Development Programs with plans for more free courses to be offered soon:
Information Technology & Networking
General Nursing
Nutrition and Dietetics
Electrician
Office Automation

There are no prerequisites, no entrance exams, and no hidden fees for individuals to register for any or all of these classes.
