It's Google week. We're hours away from Google unveiling its next generation Pixel smartphones, a new laptop, an Amazon Echo Show competitor, a Google speaker, and several other products. The phones have been leaked from every possible angles and aspects including its camera. The new pixel 2 is expected to be featured with a five-inch display while the Pixel 2 XL will be with the 5.5-inch display. The leaked pictures also reiterate as the Pixel 2 is seen featuring thicker top and bottom bezels. Another long list of companies, including LG and Samsung, have launched phones with 18:9 display in the recent past. The Pixel 2 XL, on the other hand, will be priced at $849 and $949 for the 64GB and 128GB storage variant respectively. Unlike the Nexus devices, the Pixel devices are 'Made by Google.' So it's not just the software that comes from Google, the hardware also comes from Google. The phone will run the newest Android Oreo OS. Now, he has sent out a tweet that combines the earlier images of the Google Pixel 2 XL with photos showing the Google Pixel 2. Google will also follow suit but only with one of the two devices. Lack of waterproofing was one of the biggest problems with the phone a year ago. It's a new look that's for sure and will help the smartphone survive a complete flagship year. If you look closely, the cut for USB Type-C port is visible, but there is nothing for the 3.5mm audio jack.

The UI too has been tweaked. Google wants users to be able to quickly access Google Search as easily as possible, and placing the search bar where your thumbs sit will make it much easier for everyone. There also seems to be a new reminder widget, with the time of the reminder and the weather underneath. The back panel has a glass at the top part though this year it is coming in solid colors. The phone would be able to identify music playing around you and show you the name of the track on the lock screen.

Google phones are starting to establish themselves on the market.
