Tennessee scored on the next possession to cut Florida's lead to 13-10.

First, with the ball on their 25, Franks passed for three yards to tight end C'yontai Lewis. Quarterback Jesse Ertz of the Wildcats (2-1) was tackled short on fourth-and-8 deep in Vanderbilt territory with 1:06 left.

After three quarters of the ugliness of turnovers, dropped passes, kicking woes and key penalties, Cinderella arrived at the party.

The Florida Gators even their record at 1-1 for the season with today's win. In the years to come, hundreds of thousands will likely proclaim they were there.

That gave the Gators the 26-20 win as the time had expired. Quinten Dormady (21-of-39, 259 yards and a touchdown) threw three interceptions, including one in the red zone as Tennessee was driving and a pick-six to CJ Henderson.

If retired CBS analyst Verne Lundquist was watching this offensive slop on television, he might have been thinking: "Boy, I got out at the right time".

The Franks-to-Cleveland connection broke a 20-20 deadlock, made that way by Aaron Medley's 27-yard field-goal for Tennessee in the final minute. That included a 20-17 scoring pace by the home team and a huge pass down the field for a touchdown to win the game.

No. 13 Georgia 42, Samford 14 • Jake Fromm threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns and Nick Chubb ran for 131 yards and two TDs as the Bulldogs (3-0) beat visiting Samford (2-1).

Jones answered that second one after the game, saying Florida was playing Cover-Zero run blitzes near the goal line and that Tennessee coaches liked some of the passing options they had.

Franks calmly eluded pressure on the play before unloading the bomb on target, perhaps proving that he's got the goods to be the pivot Florida fans have been waiting on since Tim Tebow took his game to the NFL.

The play concluded one of the wildest fourth quarters for a series dating to 1916 and sent an announced crowd of 87,736 in the Swamp into a frenzy as everyone on the Gators' sideline surged onto the field. "He didn't get rattled after the interception", Florida coach Jim McElwain said. That wouldn't have happened to UF two years ago, and it was the difference in the game.

"He was very calm", McElwain said of Franks. To look this unfocused during a rivalry game of this magnitude was pretty embarrassing. We've got some young guys. I know how hard they have worked, and I know what they've put into it. "I looked at him, and he hiked the ball and because the corner was pressed, I inside released and just ran fast. That's all it is".
