MOM is a thriller drama, which focuses on the issue of increasing crimes against women in the country.

MOM packs a solid punch and deserves a watch for its gritty content and Sridevi's heroic performance.

Besides Adnan, Mom also features Pakistani actress Sajal Ali as Sridevi's daughter in the film. Music album by A.R.Rahman, the melody king, gave completely emerged and imaginative songs.

While working on the Oscar nominated film Full metal Jacket my favourite director of all time Stanley Kubrick told one of his lead stars "Real is one thing, but interesting is better" and nearly of Nawazuddin Siddiqui's performances remind me of that line. Film Mom has tried to explain that God can't be present every where, so he created mother in one of his dialogue. Do read the film review of Mom given below.

The plot of the film has been old fashioned and it has nothing new. It has termed "Mom" as Ravi Udayavar's best work. "There's a point when the audience says enough".

The movie got an excellent rating of 3.5 out of 5. The response for the film is underwhelming despite Sridevi's believable performance. Though she teaches Biology (and we presume this is a Delhi junior college as Arya is 18!), we do not know how she is such an expert in Toxicology! It is a very special moment for us; we have been waiting for this so much. But looks like real-life husband wanted to gift his wife Sridevi one such film as her 300th film.

Film critic Taran Adarsh has called MOM "superb" in his review. She is a inspiration for yearning actress as well as for B-Town's more youthful era of performing artists. I'm also a big fan of his work and I've watched all his films.

Her father was a lawyer and Sridevi recalls going to court with him sometimes when she was a child and watching wide-eyed as he argued a case before the judge. "God can not be everywhere, Mr DK", says the protagonist, played by actor To this, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's character responds, "I know, that is why God made mothers".

Times Now quoted Sridevi's stellar act to be what establishes the crux of the film.

The film is gripping, although a few unwanted scenes in the second half where it tends to stretch could be chopped. Sajal plays the daughter's role and there were many silent scenes in the film and she delivered them brilliantly. He termed Girish Kohli, Ravi Udayavar and Kona Venkat's writing as racy and intriguing which leaves one with a pulsating heart. Her stepmother, Devaki Sabherwal (Sridevi, seen after English Vinglish and Puli in Tamil), dotes on the girl, and is far from the kind of evil women we have been fed by fairytales.

Mathew Francis (Akshaye Khanna), a tough cop, makes an entry to solve the mystery but fails to prove Abhimanyu and his gang guilty. Arya accepts Piyu, but Devki will always remain "Mam" (Ma'am) for her as she is also her teacher in school.

Nawazuddin, you're known to pick varied roles.
