HBO's 'Game of Thrones' returns Sunday; who will take the Iron Throne?

Emmy-winning "Game of Thrones" debuted the first episode of the seventh season at a lavish premiere in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, which was lit up with projections of dragons, fire and ice for the occasion. And so while Bloys seems opposed to anything like the latter, there still is a chance HBO will choose to show one or more of Thrones' final episodes in theaters after the series wraps up.

Sansa Stark actress Sophie Turner shrugged off her Game Of Thrones persona as she sported a thigh-skimming glitzy mini-dress emblazoned with a face. The premise is simple: you and your friends make predictions as to which characters will die this season. The company shared a photo of two wolves, one named Quigley, who plays Ghost in the series, and the other looking a lot like Arya's Nymeria. The prize can even just be bragging rights.

You can see the full gallery here. But both of them are equally valid, I think, because Catelyn Stark is a fictional character and she doesn't exist.

Sorry, Littlefinger - if we had to place bets going into the new season, our money would be on the Starks. Classic death pool rules suggest you play to a set number of deaths.

What do people talk about when they don't have anything else to say?

It's been more than a year since we last visited Westeros in the incredible Season 6 finale, "The Winds of Winter", in which Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) blew up half of the characters in the show and declared herself queen. "Patriarchy is still playing such a huge part in her life and she's frustrated by that and wondering why she needs men to justify her power". And if you don't list him at all, you'd better hope none of your rivals did, either. Daenerys' house, Targaryen, itself emerged as the most-viewed Game of Thrones family, ahead of the Lannisters, Starks, and Baratheons.

Things don't look good for Cersei, but that isn't the case for the stupendous show around her. Both offer up some hints as to what's going to happen for the show.
