The developers of Apple during the presentation of WWDC 2017 showed users a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro. It's a smart home speaker created to compete with Amazon Echo and Google Home on the artificial intelligence front and with Sonos on the sound quality front.
Some Apple watchers say HomePod's comparisons with the Amazon Echo are unfair. Apple's Siri (digital assistant) will also respond to requests for information and other help around the house along with playing music.
The biggest change visible is the new dock for iPads sourced directly from Apple's very own Mac. The assumed 10.5-inch iPad Pro is expected to arrive with a smaller 9.7-inch sibling, by virtue of the reduction in bezels. A new QuickType keyboard on iPad delivers quick access to numbers, symbols and punctuation. New iMacs and Macbook laptops will start shipping from Monday. The iMac Pro will support up to 18 cores, 128GB of RAM, AMD Radeon Vega GPUs, Thunderbolt 3 ports, 10Gb Ethernet, and up to 4TB SSDs.
The new feature will reportedly work by detecting when your phone is connected to a auto - using either a cable or Bluetooth -, whether its owner is in a moving vehicle, and subsequently block any notifications that come through from texts, updates, Tinder messages and gaming applications.
Touch ID on iPad Pro is more responsive and gives users a simple and secure way to unlock iPad, keep personal information private within apps and approve purchases from the App Store, iTunes Store and iBooks Store. The camera quality is upgraded by the iOS 11, and the High-Efficiency Image Coding and the High-Efficiency Video Coding allows users to capture quality video with a smaller file size. However, millions of users around still use these devices around.
Someone who texts a phone with Apple's new function enabled will receive an automatic reply saying the person is on the road and unavailable. This includes sharing through multiple services including Apple Pay. Earlier Apple Pay transactions could be done only with businesses and institutions. "Indoor maps will allow you to see which restaurants are past airport security".
Apple has announced a new feature for iPhones to encourage safer driving by blocking notifications.
