The company rolled out new tools for developers to create augmented reality applications for iPhones and iPads.

HomePod will be initially available in the US, UK and Australia this December.

HomePod is a 7-inch speaker that has Apple's digital assistant built in. It can lead to better management of storage in the devices. With the Apple TV set up as your HomeKit hub, the TV actually has to be on and you have to speak into the included remote to control your home's smart accessories. With HomePod, only after "Hey Siri" is recognized locally on the device will any information be sent to Apple servers, encrypted and sent using an anonymous Siri identifier.

Siri is more natural: Siri has been getting more intelligent over time.

The new-age Pencil was launched at WWDC, and it features 20ms of latency, while Microsoft's new Surface Pen, which also supports a tilt mode, has 21ms of latency. Siri will also be able to translate English into Spanish, French, German, Chinese and Italian. Although Apple Watch has emerged as the leader in its technological niche, it hasn't become a smash hit like the iPhone or the iPad - at least until tablet sales started declining. Split View and Side Over makes it easy to view two apps at once, interact with it to get the desired results.

The developers had revised the way the Files app work. Another Safari feature will stop video from automatically playing on websites.

The software will be released later this year, but a beta version is already rolling out to developers. The macOS Sierra's upgraded version will be called as macOS High Sierra. This is Apple's long-awaited competitor to Amazon's popular Echo speaker. Even then, Apple says it won't know who you are - it'll just get an anonymous ID to help process a response.

Virtual reality has been described as the next big thing for decades. For Apple, having one would further broaden the role that its software, services and gadgets play in people's lives. The internet video player with most market share, Roku, not only offers Prime Video but has a smaller price tag than Apple TV. The new model starts at $649 and will start shipping next week.

Meanwhile, Google Tango, a specialized AR platform, is available on a handful of devices. There is a new technology called High Efficiency Image File Format that reduces the file size of photos, but this is for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus only. Also improved program for handling photos and maps.

iOS 11 also brings another key implementation - Apple Pay integration in iMessage. Before, Apple Pay transactions could be done only with businesses and institutions. The update adds a speed limit guidance and lane navigation.
