East finals trip on line as Wizards, Celtics head to Game 7

The last shot supposed to go to Bradley Beal who was the most efficient player among the Wizards, as he had 33 points in this one, shooting well, 15 of 26 from the field, but bad for three points 1 from 8.

The Celtics looked like they had things taken care of down the stretch but big shots by Wall and Bradley Beal showed there's still some fight left in these Wizards. Either way, we're in store for a treat.

After quietening talk of a funeral on Friday with his game victor, Wall will hope to put the final nail in the Celtics' coffin tomorrow.

Wall overcame a 1-for-12 start to finish with 26 points, and Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 33. Home court advantage will surely help this as role players typically play better at home than on the road.

"Washington" and "Boston" continue to dispute the ticket to the Eastern conference finals.

The Celtics All-Star will get his first chance to do the same on Monday night when Boston hosts the Washington Wizards with a trip to the Eastern Conference finals at stake. Basically we had both situations the last two games. Instead, Boston's got to defend home floor one more time in Game 7 where anything goes between two teams who have pounded each other all series long. The home team is 9-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings and the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Boston.

The threads, when pulled back late at night, represented only missed opportunity.

Even with the Wizards giving their bench significantly less time, they put up 13 points in the game. He scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, and would have the been the hero of the game if not for Wall. And the Celtics have won more Game Sevens (21) than all other teams, except the Los Angeles Lakers, have appeared in.

Wall said he was motivated by some gamesmanship on behalf of the Celtic players, who chose to come to the Verizon Centre arena wearing all-black outfits. "But hey, it wasn't meant to be for us".

NOTES: Game 7 is slated to start at 8 p.m. In his rookie season, Wall attempted 34 threes in 69 games.

With game seven being in a hostile territory, the entire city will need Wall to put that cape right back on and carry them to a place that has been uncharted for almost four decades. "It's going to be a tough challenge ahead of us Monday night, but our guys are excited about it We've put ourselves in this position to go seven (games) against one of the best teams in the East".

The enduring images, beyond the juggernauts of Cleveland and Golden State, have been of superstars coming up short when they were needed the most, and of heartbroken fans slowly marching up the aisles while the games were grinding to completion.
